Hydraulic systems play a crucial role for excavators. A good hydraulic fluid is a hydraulic system that ensures the stability of the mechanical operation and protects the excavator. Here we will learn how to care for our hydraulic system.
The choice is very important
A correct and quality hydraulic oil can play a role in transmitting pressure, lubrication, cooling and sealing in the hydraulic system. The improper selection of hydraulic oil is the main reason for the early failure and durability of the hydraulic system. The most direct method of identification is to identify the color of the hydraulic oil. If a dark brown, milky white or marked odor is found, it is a deteriorating oil and cannot be used in machinery.
Stop all unnecessary impurities
Clean hydraulic oil is the life of the hydraulic system. There are many precision parts in the hydraulic system, some have small holes, some have gaps, and so on. If the solid impurities intruded will cause the precision joints to be damaged, hairpins, oil channel blockage, etc., endanger the safe operation of the hydraulic system. Therefore, we can start from the following aspects:
1. The hydraulic oil should be filtered and filled before refueling to ensure its cleanliness.
2. In the maintenance of the hydraulic system, the fuel cap, filter cover, detection hole, hydraulic oil pipe and other parts should be disassembled to prevent the oil pipe from being exposed to unnecessary dust.
3. Clean the hydraulic components and hydraulic hoses, dry them with high-pressure air and assemble them. When replacing the hydraulic oil, the filter should be cleaned together to ensure that there are no impurities in the filter housing.
4. Use the same brand of hydraulic oil, oil temperature should be controlled between 45 ~ 80 °C. When replacing the hydraulic oil, the hydraulic system should be repeatedly cleaned, and the new oil should be poured after the cleaning is completed.
The filter is inspected on a regular basis. Due to long-time operation, many metal impurities adhere to the filter and adhere to the oil pump or cylinder. Therefore, the filter should be cleaned in time and replaced with oil in time. When the hydraulic system fails, relevant maintenance personnel should be promptly contacted for maintenance and repair to reduce unnecessary losses caused by the failure.
